The Georgia Roofing Contractors Association is proud to recognize the 21 recipients of the 2026 GARCA Scholarship Program and celebrate their commitment to continuing their education.

GARCA’s Scholarship Program was established with a simple but important objective: to develop better individuals through education for the benefit of our communities. Each year, the program provides scholarships to eligible students connected to GARCA member companies who are pursuing undergraduate education at accredited colleges, universities and technical schools.

This year’s recipients represent a wide range of schools and fields of study, from construction management and business to engineering, health sciences, communications and the arts.

The GARCA Scholarship Program is made possible in large part through the support of GARCA members and sponsors. Funds raised through the association’s annual Scholarship Golf Tournament help GARCA continue investing in the education of students connected to its member community. In recent years, the program has awarded an average of approximately $24,000 in scholarships annually.

We are proud of the hard work and dedication demonstrated by this year’s recipients and look forward to seeing where their education takes them. Congratulations to all 21 members of the 2026 GARCA Scholarship Class!

After careful consideration, and in the interest of keeping our students and all guests safe, we have made the difficult decision to not host our annual CareerExpo event in 2022.

After talking with partners in industry and education, we realized the time is still not right to bring together thousands of people from across the state for this type of event, in particular. As you know, CareerExpo is designed as an indoor, hands-on, interactive event. In short, there are still too many variables and challenges related to COVID-19 to ensure the safety of our guests.

The good news is that we are moving forward in hosting the 2022 SkillsUSA State Championships on February 24-25. As organizers, we are excited about getting back to the Georgia World Congress Center and hosting a limited number of students and teachers. We also view this as a first step back to the full SkillsUSA State Championships and CareerExpo that we’ve all grown to love over the years. Our goal and our hope is that we will be back to our full event in 2023.
